Associate Clinical Professor, Cardiology

Dr Zacks is a cardiologist on the voluntary faculty at the Mount Sinai Medical Center. He is an Associate Clinical Professor in the Cardiology Division of the Icahn Medical School, has 20 or more years of experience caring for patients with Carcinoid Heart Disease, is the Founder and Medical Director of the Carcinoid Heart Center in Manhattan and is a founding member of the Center for Carcinoid and Neuroendocrine Tumors of the Icahn Medical School at Mount Sinai. A member of ENETS (European Neuroendocrine Tumor Society), he is also a founding member of NANETS (North American Neuroendocrine Tumor Society) and a member of the medical advisory board of the Carcinoid Cancer Foundation. He has been a co-author of multiple articles pertaining to Carcinoid Heart Disease and has lectured to patients, medical students and Neuroendocrine Tumor Specialists from around the world. Among his most cherished principles is that of the value of team care as fostered by Dr Zacks’ mentor and colleague, Richard R P Warner MD. In addition, Dr Zacks subscribes to the concept of eliminating barriers to communication (his patients are routinely given his home phone and cell phone numbers).
